"So what is the South Jersey Sports League?"
Great question.
The South Jersey Sports League (SJSL) is a organization dedicated to improving the community through sports. We have all known from grade school how much better it feels to be included, rather than excluded. The single greatest thing sports provide is that sense of comraderie. The greatest gift is simply the opportunity to participate.
I could get all technical but here it is in a nutshell. Its a group of people who get together and play some games for fun. Rather than the traditional football, basketball, baseball, the SJSL offers sports to adults of every skill level the opportunity to play.
We games people played in elementary school. Games like dodgeball. The pupose behind every sport and every season is to have fun. And everyone is welcome to play. Whether you were the quarterback of the high school football team, or you are a mother of three, everyone plays. And after the game there is a featured bar or restaurant where we all go to and hang out. Seems too simple right?
The whole league is dedicated to giving people the opportunity to meet, play a game together, and have some old school fun. This is a non-competetive league which means it is about getting the opportunity to play, not about winning. There are no trophies.

With two places to play, we cover all of Cape May County.
Everyone gets to play.
That is what makes this league different. The only restriction is that you must be over 21 years old to play in the league. That's it. If you sign up, you will get a chance to play. If you have friends of yours who are interested, you can sign up your own team. If you just moved here, you can sign up and we will put you on a team. If you want to play on a team with people you work with, people you surf with, people you grew up with, whatever:

This is your opportunity to do something new.
The focus of the league is to get new people together to have some fun and meet each other. On of the biggest challenges for this area is the fact that due to the shore being a seasonal place, people who live here aren't left with much to do in the 8 months of the off-season. Our league is desgined to give locals an opportunity to meet each other outside of work or a bar, and get to know each other, make new friends and more importantly: just have some fun.

This league is designed to be open to everyone. Teachers, firefighters, police, surfers, waitstaff, cleaning people, bartenders, cable installers, bankers, cooks, business owners, trust fund babies, lawyers, doctors, fast food employees... Get the picture???
Currently we are planning to offer the following sports: dodgeball, kickball, volleyball, wiffelball, and a couple of others we are keeping under our belts!
